About

National Cadet Corps (NCC) Air wing, KU College of Engineering & Technology, belongs to 4 (T) Air Squadron NCC Warangal, Air wing NCC was started in the year 2023 and it is functioning successfully. Our NCC activities are executed with the strength of 50 Air Wing cadets headed by Care Taker NCC Officer (CTO) Dr. B. Anil Kumar. All our NCC activities are closely monitored by our Commanding Officer Col HV Dubey Wing Commander. 18 parades (105 Periods) are to be conducted every year, each parade consisting of 6 periods. Officers and Posted Instructional Staffs from 4 (T) Air Sqn NCC Warangal is giving the training to our cadets with great enthusiasm and zeal. In addition to that Adventure, Social and Regular NCC activities are being carried out by Care Taker NCC Officer and NCC Cadets.

The National Cadet Corps (Air Wing) of our Institution, affiliated to the 4 (T) Air Squadron NCC Warangal, is a part of the Personality Development Program. The allotted strength for NCC is 50. Cadets (Boys and Girls) are enroled into the NCC program every year. The cadets are given rigorous physical training which includes March Past, Range Firing, Skeet Shooting, Aeromodelling, Microlite Flying, Parasailing and so on. These NCC cadets should compulsorily attend a 10-day camp in an academic year apart from other special camps viz., Combined Annual Training Camp, All India Vayu Sainik Camp, Inter Group Competition Camp, National Integration Camp, Air Force Attachment Camp, Firing with 0.22mm riffle, Skeet Shooting, Six minutes of flying training to all the cadets, Undergo Drills with Weapon etc.,

Motto

"Unity and Discipline"

The need for having motto for the Corps was discussed in the 11th Central Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting held on 11 Aug 1978. The mottos suggested were "Duty and Discipline"; "Duty, Unity and Discipline"; "Duty and Unity"; "Unity and Discipline". The final decision for selection of "Unity and Discipline" as motto for the NCC was taken in the 12th CAC meeting held on 12 Oct 1980.

Objectives

Train volunteer youth to become confident, committed and competent leaders in all walks of life.
Provide opportunities and encourage cadets to enrich their knowledge, develop communication skills and build character.
Conduct social activities and community development programmes, to make constructive contributions toward society.
Undertake adventure activities to hone leadership qualities and risk-taking abilities.
Conduct military training to develop awareness about Armed Forces, leadership skills and military values thus, provide an environment to motivate cadets to join the Armed Forces.

Aim

The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces. The NCC Activities aims to develop character, discipline, and a sense of service among young cadets, fostering unity and patriotism. It's a great platform for students to develop their skills, leadership qualities, and social responsibility.

KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS (26/07/2024)

Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated on July 26th every year to commemorate India's victory in the Kargil War (1999) against Pakistan. It's a day to honor the bravery and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces who fought to reclaim the occupied territories in Kargil, Jammu and Kashmir.
The day is marked by various events, including Tribute to martyr Kargil Vijay Diwas is a reminder of the courage and patriotism of India's soldier.

CADETS PARTICIPATION IN CATC-VI KAKATIYA UNIVERSITY (04/080/2024-13/08/24)

The combined annual training camp is an essential part of the NCC training program, helping cadets develop valuable skills, confidence, and character the camp includes various activities like physical training, cultural activity, sports and guest lectures total 20 cadets kucet participated in this camp.

Tiranga rallies are a vibrant display of patriotism and unity, organized by NCC cadets across India. These events aim to promote national pride, celebrate independence, and honour the country's freedom fighters

CADETS PARTICIPATION IN INDEPENDENCE DAY

NCC cadets' participation in Independence Day celebrations showcases their patriotism, discipline, and skills, while also promoting national unity and pride. Through activities like march pasts, flag hoisting, cultural performances, and ceremonial duties, cadets demonstrate their commitment to the nation's ideals. These celebrations also help instill leadership qualities, team spirit, and a sense of responsibility among the youth.

Enrollment of 24th BATCH CADETS (08/09/2024)

NCC Recruitment Process includes:

Registration in early September
Physical Test: running (800m for boys, 1200m for girls), push-ups
Personal Interview: to assess interest and personality.

AIVSC BANGALORE (26/09/2024 - 07/09/2024)

AIVSC is a prestigious national camp organized annually by the Air Wing NCC, involving cadets from 17 directorates across India. After 4 selection camps, 26 out of 260 cadets are chosen from 7 units under the AP & Telangana Directorate. Activities include aeromodelling, skeet shooting, tent pitching, and .22 mm rifle firing. Flight Cadet B. Chandan from KUCET (4(T) Air Sqn, Warangal) won a silver medal in Aeromodelling (RC) under the guidance of AMI Shyam Sundar at AIVSC 2024, held at Jalahalli Air Force Station, Bangalore (26 Sep â€“ 7 Oct 2024).

SWABHAVA SWACHHATA SANSKAAR SWACHHTA (27/09/2024)

The Swabhava Swachhata Sanskaar Swachhata program is part of the broader Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiative, which NCC cadets actively participated. Cadets engage in various activities, such as Organizing cleanliness drives in surrounding areas, and colleges to promote community involvement.

CADETS PARTICIPATION IN UNIT LEVEL SPORTS COMPETITION (27/09/2024)

NCC cadets participated in various sports competitions, showcasing their skills and teamwork in unit level.

CONSTITUTION DAY (26/11/2024)

Constitution Day (Samvidhan Diwas) is celebrated on November 26 to honor the adoption of the Indian Constitution. NCC cadets mark the day through Preamble readings, debates, essays, pledge ceremonies, and guest lectures, promoting awareness of constitutional values and national responsibility.

FUND COLLECTION

NCC cadets often participated in fund collection activities to contribute to the welfare of the armed forces. These initiatives demonstrate the cadets' solidarity with the armed forces and their commitment to supporting those who serve the nation.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS (26/01/2025)

NCC cadets actively participated in Republic Day celebrations in university Their involvement showcases their patriotism, discipline, and national pride.

March Past: NCC cadets participate in the Republic Day parade, showcasing their drill skills and discipline.
Flag Hoisting: Cadets assist in flag-hoisting ceremonies, paying tribute to the national flag and the Constitution. By participating in Republic Day celebrations, NCC cadets demonstrate their commitment to the nation and its values, while developing essential life skills like teamwork, discipline, and leadership.
