National Service Scheme

About Us

"NOT ME, BUT YOU"

The National Service Scheme (NSS) was established on September 24, 1969, with the objective of developing social responsibility and community service among young people. NSS focuses on various areas, including education, health, environment, and disaster management. The scheme organizes community service projects, blood donation camps, health awareness programs, tree plantations, and cleanliness drives. Through NSS, volunteers develop social awareness and responsibility, build leadership and teamwork skills, and foster community engagement and participation. With a structure that spans national, state, and institutional levels, NSS provides opportunities for young people to participate in community service, develop leadership skills, and gain awareness about social issues and community needs.
